Dear Praying Partners,
Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. We have just returned to San Ramon after taking my family back to the airport in Lima. It was a real blessing to have them with us this last month, especially over Christmas.
We had an interesting interruption during our return home this past Thursday. That morning, on the last leg of the highway to San Ramon (from the mountains down to the jungle), there was a landslide. The landslide left a massive boulder covering both lanes and completely stopped all traffic between the Central Jungle and the rest of Peru for over 30 hours. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and while the only impact on us was a day’s delay in getting back to San Ramon, it was a reminder of the danger of the Andes Mountain highways, especially in rainy season.
On January 9th and 10th, we organized our first retreat for pastors, leaders, and church workers. At the retreat, my father, Missionary David Lott, taught on the subjects of missions and family in the ministry. There were many blessings; we had a good turnout of around 30 people total, and some church workers even showed interest in the call to the ministry. Pray that God can continue to work in the hearts of all of us present. Lord willing, this is the first of many retreats geared toward training and equipping pastors and workers. Our next retreat is scheduled for March.
This week (January 28th-31st), a medical missions team from Lima will be with us and will be holding both medical and other evangelistic outreaches in La Merced, San Ramon, and Naranjal. The Lord has provided this strategic opportunity at important times in each of these three works. Please pray that souls can be saved, baptized, and discipled as a direct result of efforts this week.

Vehicle Need
As we mentioned in our last prayer letter, our ’89 Volkswagen Fox is in ever greater need of replacement due to its age, size, and lack of 4-wheel drive for the jungle.
We would like to be able to purchase a newer vehicle in the upcoming months (possibly April-May). We would like to extend to you the opportunity to take part in this important project for our ministry and family. We are praying for an SUV with 4-wheel drive that is 10 years older or less. Estimados hermanos,
Gracias por mantenernos en sus oraciones. Acabamos de regresar a San Ramón después de haber llevado a mi familia al aeropuerto en Lima. Fue una gran bendición tenerlos con nosotros este mes, especialmente durante la Navidad.
Este jueves tuvimos una interrupción interesante en el camino de regreso a casa. En la mañana, mientras estábamos rumbo a San Ramón, hubo un derrumbe en el último tramo de nuestra ruta. Este derrumbe dejó una enorme piedra que obstaculizó ambos carriles de la pista y detuvo todo el tránsito entre la Selva Central y el resto de Perú por más de 30 horas. Gracias a Dios, nadie salió herido. Aunque el único efecto para nosotros fue la demora de nuestra llegada a San Ramón, sí hace recordar el peligro de las pistas de los Andes, especialmente durante el tiempo de lluvia.
El 9 y 10 de enero, organizamos nuestro primer retiro para pastores, líderes y obreros. En el retiro, mi padre, misionero David Lott, enseñó sobre misiones y familia en el ministerio. Fuimos muy bendecidos; hubo una buena asistencia de casi 30 personas en total y algunos mostraron interés en el llamado al ministerio. Oren para que Dios pueda seguir obrando en los corazones de todos los que estuvimos presentes. Dios mediante, éste será el primero de muchos de estos retiros enfocados a la capacitación de pastores y obreros. El próximo retiro está programado para marzo.
Esta semana (29-31 de enero) estará un equipo médico misionero de Lima y estaremos teniendo campañas médicas y evangelistas en La Merced, San Ramón y Naranjal. El Señor ha provisto esta oportunidad estratégica en un buen momento para cada una de estas tres obras. Por favor oren que personas sean salvas, bautizadas y discipuladas como resultado de la campaña esta semana.

Necesidad de un Vehículo
Como mencionamos en nuestra última carta de oración, nuestro Volkswagen Fox del ’89 está en necesidad de ser reemplazado por un vehículo más grande, menos antiguo y con tracción 4×4 para la selva.
Nos gustaría poder comprar otro vehículo en los siguientes meses. Queremos extenderles la oportunidad de participar en este importante proyecto. Si le gustaría contribuir a esta necesidad, desde los Estados Unidos puede enviar su ofrenda nuestra iglesia:
